Ketamine Therapy
For patients who haven't found relief through traditional treatment, ketamine offers a new pathway — one that works at the level of the brain itself. The centerpiece of our practice and the foundation for a complete care model.

In Japanese, shōka speaks to transformation — not gradual change, but a fundamental shift in state. Shōka literally translates to sublimation, the process of moving from a solid state to gas. Just as dry ice transforms from solid to vapor, psychedelic medicine can loosen what has long felt fixed: patterns of thought, layers of grief, and the architecture of how we see ourselves.
What emerges on the other side is a version of you that can navigate these challenges with greater freedom, ease, and trust in yourself. That is what we are here to support.
Every element of how we care for patients is built around this arc — shaping the process from your initial consultation to long after your last treatment session.

Preparation & Integration are part of every infusion.
The 24–72 hours following a ketamine infusion represent a unique window of neuroplasticity — a period when the brain is more capable of forming new connections and shifting patterns of thought and behavior. This state is central to ketamine’s therapeutic potential, and our goal is to help you make the most of it.
Our process begins well before your first infusion. Your initial consultation with one of our physicians is dedicated to understanding your history, establishing your treatment goals, and building the relationship that will carry you through the process. From there, you will meet virtually with a trained psychedelic coach from our network of integration partners to explore intentions, align expectations, and come to your first infusion with greater clarity and confidence.
Feeling nervous before your first infusion is completely normal — and preparation is designed with that in mind. By the time you arrive, you will have a clearer understanding of what to expect, what you are working toward, and the reassurance that you are not going through the process alone. Ultimately, the preparation helps you arrive with enough understanding and trust to move through whatever the experience brings.
In psychedelic medicine, integration is the process of working with what surfaced during your infusion — the emotions, memories, images, or insights that emerged — and translating them into reflection, understanding, and lasting change. In many ways, this is where the deeper work begins.
Not every infusion feels the same. Some sessions may feel deeply peaceful, restorative, or clarifying. Others may feel dreamlike, surreal, and freeing. Still there may be sessions that bring forward emotions or experiences that feel heavier, unfamiliar, or unexpectedly intense. All of these can be part of a ketamine journey, and all of them can carry meaning. Often, it is the more challenging sessions that ultimately lead to the most significant insights.
After key infusions, you will reconnect with the same coach who guided your preparation. That continuity is intentional. They know your story, your goals, and what brought you to Shōka. Together, you will take what emerged and begin to translate those experiences into meaningful change.
We also strongly encourage ongoing work with your existing therapist or mental health team outside of Shōka. Ketamine can act as the catalyst in creating the conditions for greater openness and flexibility — but lasting change is often shaped by what happens afterward: therapy, reflection, relationships, habits, and the intentions you carry into everyday life
Tailored protocols. Physician-reviewed.
Each infusion below can be used on its own or combined within a custom protocol. During your consultation, we'll discuss which combinations may best support your goals — whether that's recovering from burnout, complementing a ketamine series, or addressing a specific deficiency.
Note: Preparation & 4 Integration Sessions included with any induction series.

Frequent Questions
ABOUT KETAMINE
What is ketamine therapy and is it safe?
Yes — when administered by trained physicians with proper protocols in place. Ketamine was originally developed as an anesthetic, and our background in anesthesiology means we understand this medication in ways that most clinicians in this space do not. We manage every infusion with the same rigor and precision you would expect in a hospital setting. The doses used for mental health treatment are a fraction of what is used in the operating room, but we take no shortcuts regardless. Every patient is carefully screened before their first infusion, and we continuously monitor blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen, and CO2 levels throughout each session.
